WFMW: Spill-resistent fast-food milk

When your toddler gets a bottle of milk with a fast-food meal (since that makes the whole meal healthful, right?), punch a hole in the top of the foil liner and insert a straw.

Confession time. My two toddlers know the golden arches well. And Sonic. And Braum's. They don't, however, drink soda (yet). Most fast-food restaurants now offer milk of some kind that comes with a lid and a foil liner. Simply punch a hole in the liner with a plastic knife or your thumbnail and insert a straw. Works great for keeping spills to a minimum and it's faster than wrestling the liner off when time is short.

great tip! I'm always warning them to beeeeee careful!!!!! with those little milk jugs. or we just wait till we're at home to drink them.

I often get one white and one chocolate in their meals and then do 1/2 and 1/2 once we get home. Am I the only one who thinks store bought chocolate milk is way too thick???

Crafty, I know...seems like melted chocolate ice cream. I don't buy them chocolate milk other than in their ff meals, though, so it is their treat (since the french fries aren't enough).

Oh no...I think it is too thick too! I prefer some 2% milk with the No Sugar Added version of Nesquick powder. The man of the house likes the thick stuff.

Thanks for that tip...I too am one of those that says "don't open it until we get home, or if you open that make sure you don't spill it" I am saying this to a 3 and 5 year old...WHAT AM I THINKING!!! LOL

Thanks again for stopping by!
